Comments on Epic fantasy wedding gowns from Romantic Threads

  1. ummmm can someone please give me back my jaw??? I seem to have lost it when I was staring at the BEAUTIFUL dresses and my jaw dropped…and because these dresses are so amazing when my jaw dropped it fell off.

  2. I think my jaw broke too. The red. Ohmygods THE RED! I wore red at my wedding but it wasn’t RED. I want to wear that gown every day and stroll majestically down the street while looking imperious.

    • Me too!!! Now i just need to become super rich so that people just think i’m charmingly eccentric when I do things like that.

  3. I ordered my wedding gown from Romantic Threads! I should be receiving it soon… I can’t wait! 🙂
Belinda is a pleasure to work with, and her gowns are absolutely amazing! ♥

  4. The picture at the top of this article was on the screen when my in-laws (very old-fashioned Southern farmer types) happened to look at the computer. My mother in law asked what it was and I said it was a wedding dress. She said “I like that; it’s traditional, like something Scarlett O’Hara would wear.” My father in law said “Yeah, not like those white ones they wear now.”

  5. Those were some very beautiful dresses!

Sidenote: Why was the word “sizes” written in caps and then “sizes 2-28” written in bold in the description? Was that to call attention to plus size women? I kind of took a little offense to it. Mentioning they come in all kinds of sizes is perfectly fine, but emphasis isn’t needed.

    • The emphasis was something I very specifically asked Megan to do, not to “call attention to plus-size women” in some sort of negative way, but to call attention to the fact that the designer is committed to serving ALL brides across the spectrum of sizes.

I’ve heard a lot of frustration about indie designers who DON’T do this, so the idea was to be like “YAY, Romantic Threads is awesome and makes dresses in a full range of sizes!” I’m sorry if the emphasis came off as somehow insensitive — the goal was to celebrate the range of sizes.

      • I’m all for letting the readers know that a designer is available for women of all sizes. I praise that, I do!! I think it just hit me wrong this morning. I know the very frustration of getting excited about a design then discovering I can’t get it because I don’t fit the range.
