Oh lordy, how we love men in smart outfits… ESPECIALLY when that outfit includes a kilt. This is another awesome shot plucked straight from the Offbeat Bride Flickr pool. And what makes this even more awesome is the super-duper dapper outfits his groomsmen are sporting as well. And the color scheme… oh my!

And this little cutie in a kilt is almost (just nearly!) too much. How adorable! What a dashing group of lads, I tell ya. Grooms-to-be, take note!

And don't forget about the lovely bride. Are her shoes not the cutest, with those little bows? Her birdcage veil, vintage-inspired dress, red bauble necklace… dreamy!

The only way this wedding could be more amazingly Scottish is if there were adorable sheep. Oh wait…

  1. You guys have me all curious about her shoes now…. am I just missing a link?

These guys are super adorable aren’t they? There’s just something about a handsome fella in knee socks…. 🙂

  2. Emzy – check out the “little cutie in a kilt” link to see her shoes.

Gsanford – unfortunately she doesn’t have any more pics available to us. I’m working on that 🙂 The only links I have are the ones referenced in the post.

  3. very similar to the style of wedding i am having! i am so excited to see these pictures…haven’t seen anything that comes close to my vision yet until now!

can’t wait to see my beau in his kilt at the end of the altar.

as for my dress…well, he’ll have to wait and so will you!

saving this for my IB 😉 cheers guys.

  4. everything else about her looks so cute that i am about to open up a flickr account just so i can see her shoes! lol.

  6. Nothing sexier than a man in a kilt!

I’d mentioned to my beau the other night that I wanted to wear high heeled Chuck Taylors under my dress, when our day came, and he said “Oh, no, I called dibs on the Chucks. Me and my guys are getting the Chucks.” I laughed, and said “But aren’t you planning on wearing a kilt? And having the rest of the guys in kilts?” He said “Yeah. What’s the problem?” Am I the only one who thinks he’d look f***ing hysterical if he had BOTH on? *:P

  7. Gotta love a pretty lad in a kilt.I’m also loving the tweed plus fores and flat cap ensembles too. I’m probably having male bridesmaids (my closest friends are blokes)or bridesmates as I’m choosing to think of them and I’m considering putting them in kilts (we are in Scotland so this isn’t that ground breaking an idea), but I’m not sure what else to do with their outfits. Poss gillie shirts and waistcoats(vests in the US)to tone with the colour of my dress.

    • I love that classic tweed, it’s so classy, but so uncommon in the States!

I’m currently in Sweden, and I’m seeing a huge trend starting up here with tweed for formal occasions. Men can’t get enough of it.

  8. He’s a Buchanan! My guy’s a Buchanan as well, he’ll get a kick out of this one.

  9. This is our wedding! Thanks for all your comments. We had such a fantastic day and wouldn’t have changed a thing. I am all inspired to write up my wedding profile now. 🙂
