Did you happen to see our roundup of cute tights recently? I got to thinking: what about those of us wearing dapper shoes, t-straps, or wedding boots who need a killer pair of wedding socks? Am I crazy for swooning over SOCKS? Those lace-ruffled ankle socks are so 80’s (I used to wear my heels with socks like those…yes, I’m old). I’m putting my wedding outfit together one item at a time, and I think socks will be a part of the equation.
Oh wow, those crocheted knee socks are just like the ones we had to wear to school around age ten. To think that something we hated so much then is actually something people like now! Mind you, we wore ours down around the ankles – my friend and I had a conversation one winter about whether it was worth being hugely unfashionable and pulling our socks up to our knees for the sake of keeping part of our legs warm. That picture though is enough to give me nightmares!
I do love the mermaid tail socks though 🙂 And the phases-of-the-moon socks, they’re so cool and unique.
