Scrapbookers love Cricuts — the personal cutting machine — because they're super easy to use. Which is why you should use them to easily make funky paper wedding flowers, like these from Offbeat Bride reader Jennidean.

Jennidean says: “One of my friends has a Cricut, and we have been working on some funky paper flowers to go outside. Since the wedding is in the park there are picnic tables out by where we'll be married. I'll be covering them with a white tablecloth and these flowers! (Note: I will be putting spanish moss or something in there to hide the foam.)”
If you don't have access to a Cricut, a slightly cheaper but more labor intensive option is the cuttlebug or sizzix machine, which are less expensive. You can get similar results, but your arms might get sore…

  1. Yes! I’m a teacher and I bought a Cricut to make things for my classroom, but I’m also looking into ways to use in for my wedding. If you’re making your own invitations you could cut out a phrase, your initials, or a small shape to glue on the invites to give them some pop. I’m thinking of using it to cut big letters to use to spell out our names or something on banners/bunting.

  2. What cartridge or cartridges were used to make the flowers?? Those are the first flowers I’ve seen made with the Cricut that go with the other paper flower design I’m using!
I’ve already used my Cricut for the table numbers and the Thank You and Just Married banners that you see in pictures on Pinterest and in some of the weddings posted here. It’s a winter wedding so I’ve been primarily using cartridges with snowflakes and a font one.

  3. My mom teaches classes on how to use the Cricut machine (along with other crafty things)! We used the Cricut to help with the invitations, we’re using it for the escort cards too!
