Our offbeat wedding at a glance:

The main theme at our wedding was craft beer, since Matt is an avid home brewer, a certified cicerone, and he works for a local brewery. Beer has been a big part of his life, and now mine.

Tell us about your reception:

We came up with a different way to incorporate the throwing of the bridal bouquet. Because we already had a love lock theme going, we locked the bouquet in a cage and got a bunch of random keys. Each of the single ladies in attendance grabbed a key and attempted to unlock it!

For our favors we brewed two style of beer: a porter we named “For Richer or Porter” and a wheat ale named “Wedding Bliss Weiss.”

What was your most important lesson learned?

We prayed for no rain, however the lesson I learned was you have to be specific in your requests to the universe. While it didn't rain, it turned out to be 40 degrees that day, even though it was the middle of September! It was freezing on the mountain top and very foggy. The fog made for some great pictures though.

  1. That dress! I am having a terrible time finding a wedding dress. Anyone know who makes this one??

  2. If I am not mistaken, this is the Penelope by Anthropologie’s wedding store BHLDN. I tried it on, so I am pretty sure 😉

  3. I love the wedding bouquet in a cage with a bunch of keys idea – the look on the look on the Lady’s face when she’s unlocking it is fantastic!

  4. The bride’s look is my aesthetic. I love her red hair, that dress, her beautiful bouquet! AAAH! It’s all so gorgeous!!
