Constellations, a dragon cake, and BEARS at this Chicago planetarium wedding #Real Weddings: Midwest US#chicago#couples of color#illinois#multi-colored dress#pink dress#ring bear#space theme Updated Jun 29 2018 (Posted Jun 28 2018) Catherine Clark bijouxandbits Photos by: Tuan B Co Photos by Tuan B Co Alex and Glenn were OVERFLOWING with ideas for their wedding. Alex's Indian heritage was featured during the ceremony overlooking Lake Michigan in Chicago by focusing on a stunning mehndi-inspired aisle runner. They held it at the spectacular Adler Planetarium(!) which capitalized on Glenn's love of constellations. Think outer space colors like deep fuchsia, purple, and blue, and "under the sea"-themed invitation suite, centerpieces featuring constellations and sea creatures. The funniest part? Their wedding planner took one for the team and busted a move on the dance floor as a top-hat wearing ring bear. Glenn had dreams of a bear at the wedding and this was as close as they dared get. Oh! And there was a mini version at the ceremony, too. It was animals meets ocean meets space and it was AMAZING. Don't miss the two epic dresses the bride wore, the fabulous dragon cake, and the constellation coloring book… Vendors Photography: Tuan B CoVenue: Adler Planetarium • Planning/event design: LOLA Event Productions (Lori Stephenson) • Florals: Exquisite Designs • Wedding dress boutique: Mira Couture • Hair Stylist & Makeup Artist: Kaizen Bridal • Videography: 312 Films • Paper goods: Yoojin Kim Designs • Aisle Runner: Jamie Joy • Catering: Food for Thought • Cake: Elysia Root Cakes • Furniture rentals: Tablescapes • Linen rentals: BBJ Linen • Music: MaryMonica Music (DJ Chris) • Groom's suit: Daniel George Gallery This slideshow requires JavaScript.
