Sugar skulls, succulents, and lanterns abound at this Dia de los Muertos wedding (with bonus GROOT CAKE!) #Real Weddings: Western US#california#dia de los muertos#red hair#skulls Posted Oct 28 2015 Catherine Clark bijouxandbits Photos by: Janae Shields Photography Photos by Janae Shields Photography Arlene and Jared have always wanted to get married in the fall as it’s their perfect weather in Northern California. They're also fully into all things Halloween, their Mexican culture, Dia de los Muertos, and sugar skulls, so this Dia de los Muertos wedding theme was a no-brainer. They chose a restaurant with authentic and fresh Mexican food and decor, Milagros Cantina, which meant decorating was far easier. But a few skulls, lanterns, terracotta pots, and succulents made an appearance. Jared’s brother Rian helped out by hiring a few of his music students to be our string quartet for the ceremony. Let's peek at this Dia de los Muertos wedding in Redwood City, California.
