Photo credit: Bethany Obrecht My comedian/pundit friend Baratunde and his singer/songerwriter bride Mieka were married this summer in Lenox, MA. Baratunde told me, "It was one of the best days of my life … along with the day Obama won and the day I got my first Transformers action figure." More about these two below, including why Mieka said Baratunde was the true "bride" of the two of them… "My wife jokingly referred to me as 'the bride' because I was way more involved in the planning than she was. I insisted on local food, found the photographers and planned the music. Mieka was like, 'tell me where to be, and I'm there … as long as there's wine.'" …Way to come through on the wine, Baratunde! Lily from Wild About You Photography photographed Zam and his bride Athena in Hong Kong, and I think we can all agree... I like leaving things to chance, I guess, but the suit was worth the last-minute drama." Baratunde and Mieka are headed off on their cross-country road trip honeymoon today. Congrats, you crazy kids!
