Hi, I'm Megan, and I'm a wedding crasher. If I'm being totally honest, I'm a wedding crashing snob: I don't always crash weddings, but when I do, I generally crash weddings planned by Rebel Belle. Why? Because I always have the time of my life, and because Rebel Belle wedding planner Laura Guerrie actually gets me officially invited. (Thanks, awesome Rebel Belle couples!)
Straight-up, Laura knows how to plan an AMAZING event. (That's why we've even brought her on to co-produce Offbeat Bride's LA Lovesick Expo, our awesome wedding show in February!) I may have crashed only two of her weddings, but I've attended a lot of her events as a guest. I've seen and experienced things at Rebel Belle events that I never thought I'd see or experience IN MY LIFE: I've been spanked by a Stormtrooper, played Beatles Rockband with muppets in Charlie Chaplin's screening room, drank with Dick van Dyke, watched Miss Piggy do burlesque, and danced in a Los Angeles landmark-turned-spaceport. (I'll get back to that last one in a minute.)

Remember Jennifer and Ryan's geeky, Star Wars-themed, nerdstravaganza wedding? I not only got to crash that wedding, but (since it was such a HUGE event) I got to help the Rebel Belle crew set up! Why do I sound excited about that? Because watching the Rebel Belle crew do their thing is like watching a master craftsman at work — I am always blown away at how they get it all done so easily and so efficiently. Ooh, and I also got to wear one of those secret agent earpieces to communicate with the team while we were on different sides of a very large venue, and that made me feel super cool.
Then there was the time I crashed one of her weddings at the historical Fred Harvey Room in Union Station. Except it didn't look anything like the historical landmark I know and love. Laura and her team had somehow transformed the art deco, architectural time capsule into a futuristic spaceport — complete with “confiscated space luggage” featuring suitcases filled with blasters and time machines — HAND-MADE by Laura's right-hand-woman, Megan. I was in total awe.
