Kelsey is a world traveler who fell in love with her older brother's best friend Pete, a fellow adventurer. After dating for several years, Kelsey moved to Iceland to work with horses, her passion. Pete came to visit and proposed to her on a stormy beach. A year later they got married in the Finger Lakes region of Geneva, NY at The Cracker Factory, a former three-story factory and warehouse. The space was lined in old windows and the walls were all beautiful exposed brick. They had breakfast for dinner(!) including pancakes, crepes, eggs Benedict, sausage, French toast, and parfaits.

Kelsey and Pete wore matching bracelets with a sweet story. They went to a woman in Barr Harbor, Maine who took rope and tightly braided it onto their wrists and burned the ends together to create an unbreakable seal. They still have never taken them off several years later and wore them on their wedding day. D'aww.

To honor their love of travel, each table's theme was a geographic location that was important to them. And since Kelsey is passionate about horses and has a few of her own, she chose to wear classic Frye boots under her dress in tribute.

Just wait until you see the hint of blue hair (that matched Pete's blue suit!), contemporary geometric and gold details, and a super chic industrial venue space. Don't miss the succulents in the bouquet — they were painted gold! Let's see this wanderlust-inspired alternative industrial wedding…

    • Hi! I’m the bride. They’re all David’s Bridal. I gave them all a paint swatch and sent them off to pick out whatever dresses they wanted and that’s where they wound up haha!
