I would not be a fan of the sexy knife-licking. I’d be afraid of that knife finding its way back into the cake, and what if the bride or groom accidently cuts her/his mouth or tongue? Just not worth the risks.

ALL OF THIS! I don’t even care if the bride/groom/whoever cuts their tongue, I just don’t want to eat spit laced cake.
I *love* this idea and have figured out a way for knife licking and avoiding spittle, I think!
Have two knives (In different colours/patterns) and have one just to pose and lick with and the other to cut pieces up for all the guests
Yeah we had 2 knives. The one in the photo was from my grandmother’s pearl handled silverware set. Was just for our one cut.
