Drum circle & jumping the broom FTJ (for the joy)

32238_442712776101_818991101_5638400_5739964_nI don't know, maybe it's because I'm married to a drummer, but any wedding that includes a group drumming session really makes me incredibly happy. So these photos that joeyjazzgirl submitted to the Offbeat Bride Flickr pool really get me excited.

Apparently, after their wedding breakfast, Joanne and Maxine surprised their guests with a drum workshop and the photos are so beautiful!

And then, as I explored more of her wedding photos she not only answered the question of "Where do you find plus size, inter race relationship, lesbian, stud and femme cake toppers?" But also shared with us this wedding photo…

31370_390724392583_587862583_4159615_8276746_nThis is beautiful. Jumping the broom, a bride in a suit, adorable hair-do's abound, and bridesmaids who look just as happy as the brides! Love love love.

Thank you to joeyjazzgirl for submitting this to the OBB pool and I really hope we get all the wedding details ASAP!

[UPDATE: We did get more wedding details! Head over to see Joey & Maxine's lesbian, drumtastic, family and friends wedding fest.]
  1. GAH! The anticipation is killing me! Please hurry, joeyjazzgirl!

    GORGEOUS dress, also.

  2. I totally love how happy the bridesmaids are. When your friend are so pleased that you're getting married, it feels so amazing.

  3. Beautiful wedding! The picture in her set of the guests crying totally made me tear up. I can't wait for more.

  4. Can't wait to see more! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a drummer myself, seeing world percussion at a reception equals good times for me!!!!
