Hey, I’m Leah –

I'm an independent wedding filmmaker serving laid-back, creative, non-traditional couples, primarily in NY/NJ. A filmmaker for couples and families that want to experience the moments as they unfold. (Yes, I do family videos too!) And you, you cherish not only each other, but the friends and family you’ve invited to be a part of your day. You want to capture their faces, their voices, their dance moves, the full and deep relationships that brought you to this point and will carry you together beyond it.

You might be nervous you’ll be the center of attention and lose focus on the friends and family that mean the most to you. While I will be filming you two at the center, I will also be zooming out on the day – your guests, the jokes, the shared fondness, and genuine love from all those involved. How I cater to offbeat weddings

One of the greatest gifts I can offer through my work is to amplify voices and stories of people who have been marginalized, to amplify joy and equity. It’s why I’ve volunteered my time and discounted my work for groups like The Cranford Inclusivity Project, CASA of Middlesex, SoupKitchen411, even local grade schools. It’s why I’ve made my contracts and communications gender-neutral and inclusive. It’s why I’m always trying to learn, to do better. At a time when you’re celebrating love and the coming together of families, I never want you to question whether I or any of your vendors are going to do anything but welcome you with open arms.

The Offbeat Wed community was *everything* for me when I was planning my wedding.
