Announcing the birth of our sister site: Offbeat Mama!

There's a lot to love about Kara & Drew's Colorado Hoe-Down wedding, but I've never seen anything like Kara's wonderful poof veil here.

It looks like a concept that would be relatively easy to make, and it just adds such a sense of drama to her clean and simple ensemble. Plus, it's a nod to a veil without being too, you know, veil-y.

Oh jeez, I can't help but love the hometown weddings, and a special thanks to Nyomi for emailing me about this wonderful Seattle wedding.

I've tried living in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Boston … but I always find myself coming back to my beloved Seattle, in part because of people like Caleb and Sarah here, who I totally don't know but completely adore. There's just this Seattle spirit of playfulness crossed with down-to-earth sensibilities that these two capture perfectly.

Caleb & Sarah got married at Seattle's Gasworks Park, which (as the name suggests) used to be a gas plant and therefore has not only amazing views of downtown Seattle but also the most awesome post-apocalyptic industrial gasworks all over the place.

To see a few more choice shots, keep reading!

Yes, I love this bride on her bike:

And I love her officiant:

…But I'm totally enamored with her veil/hair combo. Look at that verticality!

How kick-ass are these bridesmaids in their coordinated-but-not-matching boots? And the groomsmen all wore Vans. Too cute! For lots more shots from Hope & Adam's wedding, head on over to Matthew Morgan Photography.

(And thanks to Serena for bringing these photos to my attention!)

Why is it that rockabilly brides always have the most fabulous wedding hair?

I'm totally in love with the 1940s 'do that Laurenn and her fabulous smile are rocking in this shot from Bonnie Berry Photography.

If you want to see the full series from Laurenn and Alex's Las Vegas wedding, head on over to Bonnie's blog. There's a gorgeous red dress, cupcakes, paper lanterns, cute kids and a smiley dog.

(Oh and thanks for the heads up, Kat!)
