"Yay!" Celebratory Flags

I made these “Yay” flags for our wedding, intending for people to wave them for us as we walked away after the ceremony. They ended up being such an integral part of the evening, with everyone waving and shouting “YAY” every time we walked by! And since I added our names and the date to the back of them, they also served as the only favor we had for our guests. It is a quick and easy project- I hope you enjoy it!

OBT member "Elisa" created some really unique looking wedding invitations with the use of a laser cutting machine.

We laser-cut the blue cardboard using our friend's thumbprint to access the zillion-dollar machinery at RMIT (for real! there's a gadget thingy attached to the machine that reads fingerprints! No access to the plebes!), and the orange paper is this weird transparent stuff that's heavier than tissue paper but still kind of see-through.

OBT member Erika Fawcett may have made a strategic error with the RSVP cards…

Her mother-in-law phoned when she received the wedding invitation to tell her that she doesn't want to send the RSVP back… because it's too cute.

Now she's worried this will be a trend. And I think she haz every right to be worried!!!

After spying Donelle and Adam's glorious 8-Bit wedding, we fell head over heels for their DIYed Shrinky Dink boutonnieres, hair clips, corsages and "diamond" necklace. And we were downright impressed with the fact that Donelle came up with the idea and executed it to complete perfection!
