Just for fun, and perhaps evidence that the wedding industrial compex isn’t always a bad thing.
Hello, ladies! This is just a quick heads-up to let you know that for the next couple weeks I’ll be posting a less because I’ve got some exciting stuff going on with trying to sell my next book! I’ll be in NYC for a few days starting this Friday, and then on the Today Show (!!!) next Tuesday 2/19 talking about my 52 Nights Unplugged project. I normally try to post every day Monday-Friday, but for the next couple weeks it may be more like every other day. I’ll be back in full-force the week of 2/25. Hey, web geeks. Last year, I registered ourweddingfaq.com, to go with the joke in the book about wedsites. I never did anything with the URL, and now it’s about to expire and it makes me sad because it’s a rad URL for a geeky couple’s wedsite. Do any of my offbeat webgeeks want it? I’m happy to give it away, provided you actually use it for your wedsite and maybe link back to offbeatbride.com. All that’s required is that you know what to do with a domain — ie, you need to already have web hosting, and know how to deal with your end of a domain transfer. Anyone interested?
Wow, who knew y’all wanted your own social network so badly? This is awesome! Visit Offbeat Bride I’ve gotten a few emails recently requesting more community features on Offbeat Bride. Well, I’m going to give a forum a shot — just as an experiment. (An experiment that may fail, if it’s too difficult to maintain.) I just set up the Offbeat Bride social network. If you’d like the opportunity to connect, chat, share ideas and network with other bad-ass offbeat brides, sign up! We’ll see how it goes… |
