Study this amazing pin-up bridal hair. Learn from it. Worship it. Lots more pics over here, including my personal fave, which is this one of the bride and her grandmother:
Posts tagged with wedding hair As a fellow pinkie myself, I am totally in love with OBT member Kim Dayman’s bright pink wedding hair. And is it just me, or does her hair perfect match her anatomical heart tattoo? ![]() You’ll find lots more pink-haired wedding porn on Kim’s OBT blog! The entire wedding looks just lovely, but I’m especially taken with Lori’s up-do. There’s just something awesome about the traditional curls-with-sparkly headpiece look … but in bright blue! (Thanks to Operators Are Standing By for the photo!) Tidy with the hairline baby hairs slicked over and a bit formal with those rosebuds — but still fully textured and genuine. (Thanks to drtoast for the photo, and Amy for bringing the wedding to my attention!)
Oh-oh, and be sure to check out Madeline’s hair. And the butterfly cake! I’m hoping I can stalk down the bride and groom online to get more information about this beautiful wedding, but in the meantime, be sure to check out Kellett Photography’s 21 pages of photos. (Thanks to Kathy B. for sending this to me!) The table-settings are so happy they’re almost rainbow-bright. Julie’s floral dress with the cheetah shrug makes me want to go dancing. The five-tier wedding cake has zebra stripes, a singing Elvis, and skulls. Oh, and Julie’s hair is pretty much to die for. This is NOT a wedding for the modern minimalists, but if you love kitschy retro fabulousness, you must check out the full set. (Thanks to Julie Cupcake for the photo!)
Saying all that, here are my best suggestions. Read the rest of this entry »
Ok, now to answer your question about wedding dreads! Hoo-boy. This is a beloved topic of mine, since back in the day (creak creak creak) I used to have some wild dreads myself. There’s so much great inspiration for you out there! Let’s start with what not to do. I was a bridesmaid in a friend’s wedding back in 2000, and we went to a traditional hair salon to get our make-up and up-dos. Here’s how I ended up. The look was sorta psychedelic Marge Simpson, and while it was relatively tidy, I’m not sure I’d recommend the look to anyone else. (And don’t even get me started on the heavy make-up. Dre could hardly look at me all day!) Anyway, for lots of inspiration for how you could style your dreads, keep on reading… Read the rest of this entry » |

Aww, *blush*. Thanks, Reba! I’ll remind Andreas of that next time he’s irked at me for leaving a trail of girlwind detritus behind me all over the house.
