We hosted a game night reception so it could be more interactive for everyone. We bought most of the prizes on sale, nearing $200, but still saved a lot by not hiring a DJ or band, which comes with an added cost of a dance floor and lights.

That quote from Jami and Jamie's backyard game night wedding inspired me to put together a roundup of great games that you can play at your wedding. Ready, set, GO!

When you start a week on a beach with no pants, you know it's going to be a good week. Sadly, we're all probably at work, pants probably mandatory. But to make up for it, I'm showing you some of my favorite reader submissions from the Tribe, the Flickr Pool, and Pinterest. This week I went a little overboard with the handmade items, but can there ever be too much? There are Legend of Zelda cake toppers, DIYed paper flowers, sweet little petal cones, and even a Han Solo in carbonite candy mold.

Melanie and Chris are awesome nerds to the core and held their wedding in Bangor, Maine. It had a bowling alley, an arcade, pool tables, and a tropical-themed bar. Their own personal touches included a Pac-Man cake and cookies, personalized "O.G.: Original Gamer" bowling shirts, Monopoly guest book, and a Princess Peach program.

Two party animals, a bajillion hats, a confetti canon, and lots of Zelda. I dares ya to say that doesn't sound fun. Bill and Jenn know it to be fact, and partied the night away in an excellent concert venue with all of their nearest and dearest sporting hilarious headgear.

The Flickr Pool was teeming with photos of wedding parties that I had to share. Plus, there was a bouncy castle, a REAL castle in Scotland, and some nom-worthy cakes with amazing details. Check out this week's reader submissions in this week's Monday Montage.

Video games, gaming conventions, board games… you get the idea. These people like to game! Their Skyped-in bridesmaid, hand-screen printed ties, and Skittles toast were the icing on this geektastic cake. Plus, the bride shares some sage advice for those who choose to sew their own wedding gowns.

Tons of DIY, an awesome first look with which we had to tinker, a mashed potato bar, an all-Motown-all-the-time reception, and a favorite movie theme means lots of amazing personal touches. Plus, the bride saves the day with a bridesmaid dress snafu. Fair warning: get your tissues ready for their favorite moment.
