This post is strictly superficial. I must goo all over myself about ZOMG I LOVE KEZIA'S OUTFIT … especially that tricorn hat!

tricorn

Wow. I'm having a headsplody moment over the whole shebang, and things just got crazier when after a little research I found that of course the tricorn is by Topsy Turvy (an OBB fave!) and that the dress was made by the mother of the bride. SRSLY!

I'm hoping to have the full story on Kezia & David's London wedding soon, but in the meantime many thanks to London photographer Marcus T for the photo — if you want to see more of Kezia & David's wedding, head on over to his website!

topsy-turvyOh yes, you've seen Topsy Turvy hats on Offbeat Bride before … clearly, I'm sort of in love with them. The drama and costumey feeling is just so perfect for historical, victorian, and vintage weddings.

You may remember us featuring Topsy Turvy's amazing hats back in September… Topsy Turvy strikes again here with Katie's gorgeous top hat!

The offbeat bride: Katie, Education
Her offbeat partner: Forrest, Video Games

Location & date of wedding: Aboard the Hawaiian Chieftain in Ilwaco, WA – May 14th, 2008

What made our wedding offbeat: We knew we wanted it on a ship and we knew what we wanted to wear. I wanted to wear some kind of Victorian BBC/literary adaptation gown, and Forrest wanted to wear the grey suit from the film "Bram Stoker's Dracula".

I am absolutely in love with this head-to-toe striped ensemble. A little goth, a little vaudeville, a little circus — all stunning.

…Perhaps I'm a teeny bit biased — I own a version of the custom bustle jacket by Kambriel that the bride is wearing.

But it's not just about the jacket — look at that hat! The little adorable top hat! I know this is my second top hat in a week, but I love them! Looks like this one was made by Topsy Turvy Design.

Lots more pictures from this fabulously goth Ohio wedding on acid_poptart's livejournal.
