So you're having a Lego cake-topper. Or maybe your groom made himself Lego cuff-links. Regardless, you're thinking to yourself, "Self, what's the DIY perfect wedding favor to go with these Legos?"

Answer: Chocolate Legos!

OBT member Shandriz made these for her wedding, simply by pouring melted chocolate into a Lego ice tray. So easy! So DIY! So very Lego!

Here's another great offbeat wedding from Offbeat Advertiser Whitney Lee Photography. I asked Whitney's client, Joy, to tell us a little about her recent Texas wedding full of kids, games, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, and even a "Just Married" sign that the couple came bursting through!

Joy says: I went into this wedding with a couple of guiding principles: kid friendly, casual for comfort in a state park, and budget. First, my brother has 4 kids and there were 18 kids total on the guest list. As an elementary school teacher I have an understanding of how rough it can be to do anything when you have kids so I wanted to make the wedding fun for both kids and adults. My husband and I are both fairly goofy to boot so lots of our details reflected that.

I'm famous for saying, "do do do doot!" when I get excited about something so we provided kazoos for everyone and instructed the whole audience how to use them to give us a kazoo fanfare after the announcement of the first couple. Lots of people had a hard time figuring out how to use them – but it was so much fun!

In the past, I've answered advice questions from folks who are like "We don't want to exchange rings! How do we do a ceremony without wedding rings?"

Well, here's one more idea to consider: a wedding anklet.

I don't know much about Russ & Daniela's wedding other than what I could glean from the photos from Australian photographer Angelina Potapova … but from what I could see, it looks like my kinda shindig.

(Also, I'm a big fan of the bride's embroidered dress.)

PS: Thanks to Monica for the heads-up on this one.

The offbeat bride: Sarah / vintage clothier
Her offbeat partner: Todd / Graphic designer

Location & date of wedding: Clinton House Museum in Fayetteville, Arkansas. August 11, 2007

What made our wedding offbeat: We got married in a little old house by the University of Arkansas campus, where Bill & Hillary Clinton actually got married. Turns out, we were the first couple to get married there since them!
