This Nightmare Before Christmas wedding is “simply meant to be”
As a Nightmare Before Christmas fan, I have a huge soft spot for Ashley and David’s wedding. Their Nightmare Before Christmas wedding is perfect for the time between Halloween and Christmas. Ashley looked fantastic, from her batty veil to her hand-painted shoes. David, the wedding party, and even the table and chair covers were spooky and elegant in shades of orange and black. Don’t miss the cupcake tower designed to look like the film’s iconic spiral hill.

Arlene and Jared have always wanted to get married in the fall as it’s their perfect weather in Northern California. They’re also fully into all things Halloween, their Mexican culture, Dia de los Muertos, and sugar skulls, so this theme was a no-brainer. They chose a restaurant with authentic and fresh Mexican food and decor, Milagros Cantina, which meant decorating was far easier. But a few skulls, lanterns, terracotta pots, and succulents made an appearance. Jared’s brother Rian helped out by hiring a few of his music students to be our string quartet for the ceremony. Creepy skull shoes for Halloween weddings and beyond
It’s almost Halloween and while I know most of you Hallowedding brides probably already have your shoes all set, I still can’t resist the urge to round up some skull shoes. As always, I tried to go for a range of styles and sizes — even within this niche of skeleton shoes.
