Hanneke & Laurens’ relaxed Dutch botanical garden wedding
After having to postpone the wedding for health reasons, these two Dutch grad students pulled together their laid-back party with surprise folk dances, interactive games and quizzes, and loads of DIY with friends and family. They also had a gorgeous botanical garden as the backdrop, but only five minutes of sunshine was found the whole day!
Laura & Henry’s casual kite-flying pinwheel wedding
This casual, outdoor wedding has a ton going for it: pinwheels, kites, aerial silks performance, an elaborate ruse where the couple hides among the guests in disguise, and a hilarious officiant (with video!). We also find out just how far the groom will go to prove his love for his bride… beating up old ladies. Just don’t make him prove it.
Gus & Joey’s super budget vegan queer love-fest wedding
With a budget the size of one month’s rent, this thrifty couple capitalized on the talents of friends and family to create an intimate and musical wedding with vegan flair. Their outdoor ceremony may have been rained out, but the indoor alternative amplified the music and they preferred it in the end. Crisis averted.
Zoe & Zach’s puppet show park wedding
These two artists collaborated with friends to create an epic “Owl and the Pussycat” puppet show ceremony including rockets, banners, singing, a ring dove, and a look-alike puppet officiant. They followed up the performance with barbecue and polka music. And don’t worry: there’s a video!
