Multicultural fusion and fire engines as seen on @offbeatbride

Be inspired by this multicultural fusion wedding (with a fire engine!)

The bride was living in Istanbul, the groom was in Mexico, her family hails from Scotland, but the wedding was to be held in England. Talk about a lot of Googling and Skyping to get this wedding planned! Good thing they had access to the groom’s gorgeous childhood home and backyard to which they could DIY it to high heaven. Just wait until you see the bride’s red sari, the Indian-meets-UK catering, and the amazing fire engine!

A multicultural destination wedding in the mountains

Katie and Gautam traveled from Washington DC to Twin Peaks, California for a destination wedding in the mountains (AND planned it all sight-unseen!). This pair successfully combined his Indian wedding traditions with her American traditions, including gorgeous saris, a flower crown, a candle-lighting ceremony, a tearful father/daughter dance (just try not to choke up!), and a rockin’ dance party with an iPod DJ!

Silpi & Shawn’s handmade Indian-fusion cabaret wedding

This Canadian couple brought together the best of Western and Indian cultures for this fusion wedding. Add that to the mad crafting skills, fabulous yellow saris, talent-filled cabaret performances, and really fun guest book idea, and you’ve got a fabulous party for all involved. Plus, you’ll definitely want to check out the groom’s boy band performance!

An Indian-influenced wedding with a little bit of Pixar

George and Emily created an intimate afternoon wedding in Texas for their friends and family. Emily surprised everyone by wearing a white sari flown in from India to honor George’s heritage. They also had Indian catering, vintage book decor, and the movie Up playing in the background (since that was the inspiration for their proposal!).

Rich colors, huge murals, and a 20-foot train

Karissa and Jonas were married in Santa Barbara among rich colors and gorgeous murals. Karissa designed her own dress after a Coco Chanel design and coupled it with a 20-foot silk cape for her train. Other details included gold-dipped bird skull boutonnieres, a travel book where guests wrote well-wishes on their favorite locations, and a 1950s Chevy getaway car.

A Vegas elopement with a trip to the Valley of Fire

Anisha and Ace had an intimate ceremony with just the two of them at the Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas. They had already celebrated their engagement with their families earlier in the year, so this was their special celebration that they could share together.
