Ariel,
I received my copy of Offbeat Bride in the mail yesterday and am already more than halfway through it. I just wanted to say.. THANK YOU.

My partner Georgia and I are far from traditional – we're gay, which is probably the biggest (and most exciting) challenge in planning a wedding (yes, a real wedding – thank you Canada!!!). She's the long-haired, broken-shit-fixin', boy-clothes-wearin', hairy-legged, likes to be spooned gender enigma, and I'm the equally puzzling short haired, boy's-name-havin', makeup-loving girly girl. Needless to say, we're throwing most tradition right out the window.

Uber Angel Wedding InvitationsYou won't find many wedding stationers who divide their invites into categories like Rockabilly, Punk, Gothic, and FetishUber Angel is one in a million!

Danni founded Uber Angel (based in the UK) because, as she explains on her about page, while there are a few non-traditional stationers out there, most of them are focused on "black & purple with celtic or mythical elements." And while sure, that works great for a pagan wedding, it might not work for those of you who want tattoo-themed invites for your rock 'n' roll nuptials. In addition to her standard offerings, Danni also does custom commissions.

Offbeat promo: Buy Uber Angel invites and receive a 20% discount on extra stationery, table plans, place cards etc.

Remember this post about the fabulous punk-rock Hawaiian wedding? Well, I found the bride's wedding MySpace (titled Sarah & Fernando: THE MERGE) and so I've got more gorgeous shots for you.Much more.

Yay! I love finding bad-ass wedding's like Mick and Mu's Australian nuptials!

The bride wore black nail polish and a fabulous corset/jacket/skirt combo, and the groom clearly rocked.

The bridesmaids were in black tees and jeans. Oh, and you'll love the getaway car. Fuck yeah!

Really, the whole Black Wedding set is worth browsing through.

Christina & MitchThe offbeat bride: Christina, Architect/intern

My offbeat groom: Michael, Musician/vintage furniture salesman

Location & date of wedding: Ceremony at Trinity Church and reception at Sunset Tavern, both in Seattle, June 2007.

What made our wedding offbeat: We tried to do things our way and not get caught up in everything we "had to have" for the wedding. We were able to have a totally rockin' wedding with a very small budget.

Christina and Michael's weddingThis is absolutely my favorite wedding shot of the day. From the bride's expression to the decorated get-away bikes to the groom's tie to his kilt to the fact that yes, it was taken in my hometown of Seattle … I just love it!

I'm consistently amazed and in love with the pictures that show up in the Offbeat Bride photo pool. Yay!

A real kiss for an imaginary weddingThe offbeat bride: Dana Bos, imaginary girl

My offbeat groom: David Bos, rockstar

Location & date of wedding: Real wedding at The Ruins, Seattle {2.20.05} || Imaginary wedding at the Crocodile Cafe {2.20.05}, Seattle, WA

What made our wedding offbeat: David and I knew we wanted an elegant and intimate wedding, one that was an extravagant enough affair that we couldn't invite the world. But being actively involved in the music scene (he as a guitar player, me as a music writer), we also wanted to have a big bad rock and roll bash to celebrate our marriage.

So we did both.
