You saw the Twilight-esq wedding cupcake picture last week, and now here's the whole story behind that wedding

The offbeat bride: Dannette, Movie Sales Rep

Her offbeat partner: Nicholas, Cement Truck Driver

Location & date of wedding: Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Des Moines, Iowa — May 17th, 2009

What made our wedding offbeat: Nick and I met at his first gig in his new band that he was playing in, with my brother. We both love live music and have been to quite a few concerts together. He proposed to me at a concert front row and center! So I had to pull that in to our wedding.

Thanks to OBT member Dannette for submitting these photos to our Offbeat Bride flickr pool, we're kinda going a little nuts-o getting excited about a lot of these wedding details…

Cupcake Shot Like this photo that looks like the Twilight book cover, only with a cupcake and super bad ass bridal gauntlets.

Save a match...strike a pose! Like Dannette and her Madonna-inspired wedding style.

The Offbeat Bride: Christine – Financial Services Analyst/Music Blogger (and OBT member "Christine Marie")

Her Offbeat Partner: Greg – Dept. Manager at a car dealership/Musician

Location & date of wedding: Olde Gahanna Sanctuary, Gahanna, Ohio — July 18, 2009

What made our wedding offbeat: Music is our passion, so there was no other theme for us. Everything revolved around music — concert ticket invites, RSVPs in AC/DC font, a "set list" instead of a wedding program, VIP laminates for the wedding party, custom guitar pick favors, vinyl records as part of the centerpieces. Our officiant was a very good friend/guitarist who happened to be ordained.

The groom was only the tip of the style iceberg at Christine's wedding, but really …
I've got to start SOMEWHERE, right?

This stunning jacket is from Manuel, the Nashville tailor who's made shit for rock stars for decades.

Not to be outdone by the stylin' groom, Christine was pretty much rocking it with her amazing backwork:

And yes, this wedding was in Ohio. FLYOVER STATE, MY ASS!

Known for his rock 'n' roll work, Jeremy Harris is New York-based wedding photographer who's been featured in magazines such as Rolling Stone, SPIN, and the UK mag Kerrang.

jeremy-harrisSo wait, why does a guy who photographs rock stars for Rolling Stone want to shoot your wedding? "Unlike the editorial and ad shoots which only satisfy the art director for a moment," Jeremy told me, "The weddings I shoot make people happy for a lifetime … I enjoy creating something that will be truly cherished!"

The advantage of working with a photographer accustomed to shooting musicians for magazines is that you get an editorial and photojournalistic style … and BONUS: you get treated like a rock star.

Oh and don't let the fact that Jeremy's based in New York fool you! He works frequently in the Bay Area and Los Angeles and, he says with a wicked little smile, "…I have a valid passport."

To feast your eyes on more of Jeremy's work, head to his website, or his blog.
