The happily married couples.

What made our wedding offbeat: Brian and Helen, some of our best friends, were planning to get married around the same time. We came up with the brilliant idea to have a psudo-double wedding; two ceremonies, one big party. It seemed to make perfect sense — our guest lists were essentially identical, except for our immediate families.

What do you get when two British circus performers marry? You get a bride in a candy-apple red dress (made by Miss Katie) with matching candy-apple red pin-up hair, arriving at her courthouse wedding in a gold car with an eye-patched skull on top. You get hottie bridesmaids in little top hats and a fabulous red cake, and from the looks of it, one HELL of a reception.

You'll find all this and more in the photos from Lucifire and Dave Tusk's April 2006 wedding. Take your time going through the hundreds of photos on Lucifire's Myspace. Bonus sweetness: on her website, the bride describes herself as "profoundly, ridiculously, disgustingly happily married."

(Thanks to Kate for the heads up on these shots!)

Remember the wedding with cue cards? Here's the full story!

YolkaiThe offbeat bride: Yolkai, Mama, crafter, delicious food maker

Her offbeat groom: Anthony/Ackshawn, Teacher, K-8 Behavior Specialist

Location & date of wedding: Isis Oasis Sanctuary, a retreat center with an Egyptian theme in Geyserville, CA.

What made our wedding offbeat:We did it our way! After six years and a baby together we wanted the public declaration, the fancy outfits, and the big fun party! We chucked most of the mainstream wedding crap and held on to a few sweet traditions. Pretty much everything, from the invitations to the interpretive dance, was an expression of our style, our silliness, and our values.

Sophia helps with the smudgingI'm in love with this wedding. I mean yes: the bride is wearing an amazing red wedding dress and we all know I love those — but she's also rocking a coordinated red wedding veil! Evidently, the veil was made the morning of the wedding. Bonus points for last-minute magic.

Cue cardsI also love that the groom matched the theme with his red mohawk — but I'm especially smitten by the fact that a groomsman helped the guests by holding up helpful cue cards during the ceremony.

Everyone: steal this idea.

(Thanks to the Mighties! for the photos, and to Melissa for the tip!)
