The Irish got their week last week, so now it’s time to celebrate the Scottish with Kilt Week! The first kilt-tastic wedding features a couple who knew each other in high school and reconnected after many years, a marriage, and some kids. Awww.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow, Part 1 comes out today and since I can’t see the movie until my parent’s come into town in a few days, my Harry needs MUST be filled. And filled they are with Jen and Mike’s Harry Potter themed wedding! There’s Honeyduke’s sweetshop, The Three Broomstick Bar, and tables named after Potter places like The Leaky Cauldron and The Hog’s Head.

We’re pretty unconventional, so we did it “us.” My bouquet came from the farmer’s market, my mom picked the flowers for the tables at the side of the highway, our centerpieces were board games, my husband wore hemp pants and a simple shirt; we didn’t have attendants, a cake, toasts, bouquet toss, etc.
