The offbeat bride: Emi, Barbershop Receptionist/Manager (and OBT member)

Her offbeat partner: Trevor, Call Center Supervisor

Location & date of wedding: Aunt Karla's Backyard Garden, Portland, OR — 07/18/2009

What made our wedding offbeat: We really didn't hire anyone for anything. We had a few rentals delivered (tables, chairs, our Honeybucket) from outside vendors, but we did all the food & drinks, cupcakes, table settings and flowers, decor, etc., ourselves (that is, with TONS of help from family and friends).

I'm sure you'll be seeing this wedding all over the web soon, I mean … GUH. Who wouldn't stop drop and roll at the site of that amazing wedding dress? Many thanks to the bride for submitting this shot to the Offbeat Bride photo pool this morning! If you want to know much, much more about this Portland, OR wedding, head to Automne & Graham's website. (Although be prepared for it to load slowly — there are a LOT of pictures on that front page.)

The Offbeat Bride: Laura, scientist (and OBT member "2girls4PDX")

Her Offbeat Partner: Gosia, attorney

Location & date of wedding: Shakespeare Garden, Portland International Rose Test Garden, Portland, Oregon — 06.20.09

What made our wedding offbeat: Well, first we’re girlie-dress & makeup-loving gay ladies. We couldn’t agree who had to change her last name, so we played a Name Change Soccer Game the afternoon before the wedding with our guests, and the winner’s team got to pick our new last name. In a total upset, Laura (who is completely unathletic) and her team won, and she scored the winning goal. It served as a great icebreaker for everyone to get to know one another.

You caught a peek at Aerin's style last fall … now here's the full story!

The Offbeat Groom: Jeremy, Designer & Musician

His Offbeat Partner: Aerin, Creative Director & Invitation Designer

Location & date of wedding: Portland's White House, Portland OR — 09.20.08

What made our wedding offbeat: Neither of us had really thought about what type of wedding we'd want until we were actually engaged, but there were definitely a few things we knew for sure… Churches were out. The white dress was out. Hundreds of guests were out. And then Aerin found a copy of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and everything began to fall in place.

I can't decide which aspects of Aerin's awesome outfit to focus on…

The elegant and sleek slate-colored dress from The English Department?

The fabulous fingerless gloves with the little button details on the wrist?

The amazing puffy shrug she pulled on after the ceremony?

The whole thing manages to be impeccably elegant while also playful and distinctly Portlandish. :)

Go look at the photos from Jessica Hill Photography and pick your favorite bits for yourself!

(Thanks to both Marissa and Gina for sending this one my way)
