How would you feel being Photoshopped to look skinnier in your wedding photos?

I attended my best friend's wedding as a bridesmaid. I was pretty fat at that point and had to wear a, granted, not-that-flattering sleeveless dress. But it looked fine, in my opinion. Once the wedding was over and we all got to peek at the photos, I was surprised to see that a photo of me had been obviously Photoshopped to skinny me up. I'm sure this photography team thought I'd be pleased to see this version of myself, but I definitely wasn't…

A beautiful intimate elopement (that WASN'T the wedding of our dreams)

Sometimes on wedding blogs, you only get to see the sunny side of weddings, especially in real wedding features. This time we've got a seriously lovely and intimate elopement that had more than its share of bumps in the road. Despite the problems, this pair triumphed with a gorgeous wedding that, while not the wedding of their dreams, was something to remember.

Prepare to swoon at this elegantly intimate coastal Oregon elopement

We technically weren’t even engaged, but decided together that we were ready to get married. We had been together for seven years and both have large extended families. We knew that we wanted to pay for our own wedding but we had different ideas of what we wanted as far as size and location. We deliberated for about a week before deciding that eloping was the best decision for us. We made a list of what was important to us which included: photography, a coastal location, and our mutual love for Star Wars.

A water-themed polyamorous elopement at a lakeside bungalow

hen I set out to marry my boyfriend Tom, I'd already been married for nine years to my husband Dan. This would be Tom's first wedding, so I didn't really want to just run off and elope, but he was cool with it, so away we went. I didn't want a big poofy white dress, since I'd done that previously, and I wanted to be able to enjoy my time with my new guy, so no fuss was my general goal. Here's how our tiny elopement went down…

A black and gold kitties & karaoke wedding (with a cat "bouquet" and cat ears!)

We are not traditional people in the slightest, so we went with black and gold as our colors, and cats as our theme. I was bummed that we weren't able to bring our three kitties with us, so we made a large cardboard cutout of them so I could at least see them! Our favors were 'cat toys' that people waved as we left the ceremony. That was just the start of the fun. Don't miss the kitty ears on the bride and her amazing kitty "bouquet!"
