Andrea and Megan were high school sweethearts who met on Megan’s first day of freshman year. Years later, they were getting married in Augusta, Georgia in a champagne dress and a chic gray suit. They incorporated Phillippine culture and tradition into the ceremony as well as exchanging gold coins, lighting unity candles, and jumping the broom.

After lots of soul searching and important conversations we decided that marriage was for us. But we weren't really inspired by the weddings in bridal magazine or any venues… until we learned that you could get married at the Madonna Inn. The place is over the top, nauseatingly pink, and tacky in the best of ways — just like what I imagine my heart looks like.
We decided to double down on this wild venue and fill the wedding with all things rainbow, mixed textures, bright, shiny, and fun…

We wanted something small that fit us, but could also include our children and family. We didn't want to just run off to the courthouse. We wanted it to be simple and stress-free. We bounced ideas of locations back and forth. Maggie from Pop! Wed Co. suggested the “LOVE” mural at Blagden Alley. We were in DC for New Years so we checked it out and fell in love with it.

This is Jess in her real wedding dress, veil, shoes, and flowers. Her whole look just screams the new classic bridal style of which we will never tire. Give me smoky pink hair, “This is an adventure” emblazoned on her décolletage, holographic heels, and a bouquet in the Pantone color of the year. There was just so much to inspire in this look that I had to share.

When they got engaged, they wanted to celebrate with gorgeous photos in chic outfits among the bustle of the La Vega Central Market in Santiago. When I saw it? Fireworks, y’all.
