Remember when we introduced you to the "My Black Wedding" wedding? Well, here's the whole scoop behind the beautifully goth celebration…

The Offbeat Bride: Olga, Web Designer

Her Offbeat Partner: Sergei, Network Engineer

Location & date of wedding: Ascension Wine Estate, Matakana, New Zealand — 8.05.2009

What made our wedding offbeat: We decided on black rings, black dress, no cake, no dances, and a non-traditional gothic style wedding (although we are not hardcore goths). We also decided to make all the decorations, invitations, etc., ourselves to make sure none of the mainstream stuff would get in.

We all know I'm a sucker for a colorful wedding, but my eyes almost fell out of my skull when Zahra emailed me about Anya's full-spectrum Australian rainbow wedding … the rainbow dress! But if I wasn't so fidgety I would have definitely been one of those brides that opted for a bouquet alternative to flowers.

Since Offbeat Bride Kerry started a discussion called "Bouquet Alternatives" on the Offbeat Bride Tribe a wealth of amazing offbeat bouquet porn has been popping up. I thought I'd share a few of the unique and inspiring ideas.

OBT member Zan suggested making this bouquet out of "beautiful, cheap, fashionable feathers" that she'd seen at Hobby Lobby.

The offbeat bride: Michelle, Wedding Coordinator's Assistant & Domestic Goddess

My offbeat partner: Jeremy, Director of Marketing at an Real Estate Website Company

Location & date of wedding: The Historical Mission Inn Hotel and Spa in Riverside, CA – 9/13/08

What made our wedding offbeat: As an assistant to the wedding coordinators at the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa I've seen every boring wedding that can be done- down to the last damn guestbook. We worked very hard to not only keep our wedding different, but to incorporate our personalities the very best we could.
