A tropical California backyard wedding with palms & fire dancing
It may be Winter around here, but it’s summer in our hearts with this wedding dazzling us. Tatiana and Chase’s California backyard wedding was a mix of Hawaiian style, tons of performances (because both of them know so many talented people!), fire dancing, tropical flower crowns, gold shimmery dresses, palm fronds, and so much gorgeousness.
Let’s see how this tropical paradise wedding played out…
This edgy wedding inspiration had a crochet dress AND a mirrored dress
This edgy wedding inspiration is like something out of an industrial dream. The softness of the bride’s black and white crochet dress highlighted her amazing ink, but then the second mirrored dress? DIVINE. Plus, everything had a very organic meets geometric vibe that I just loved. Don’t miss the three geometric cakes (one which mimics the angles of the mirror dress!), the air plant bouquet and greenery, and the beauty of the wedding party.
Wedding bouquet alternative idea: herb bundle bouquet
This Halloween wedding fashion inspiration has some of my very favorite things: plenty of rings, an herb bundle bouquet, crystals, skulls, and a forest backdrop. The herb bundle bouquet was home to florals invoking positivity, love, protection, inner peace, and self power. All of the decor and paperie is dark, elegant, and totally off the beaten path.
This minimalist Philly wedding proves that simple is CHIC
We decided to do an old school Champagne and Cake reception immediately following the wedding in the same space, the Philadelphia Wedding Chapel. The chapel is a decorated, NY-style loft space and you simply show up. We hired musicians on our own as live music was not included. The wedding and reception was ninety minutes total at 3:00pm. Only twenty-six people were in attendance.
Be blown away by the stunning hot pink dress at this greenhouse elopement shoot
Karen had a gorgeous hot pink silk slip dress she had found at a thrift store which led to the whole aesthetic of this greenhouse elopement inspiration. The setting was light and airy with a backdrop of beautiful flokati, faux sheepskin, and taper candles.
Be inspired by the color palette, awesome fashion choices, and of course, THAT BOUQUET!
Funky instruments & muted flowers at this dark and eclectic inspiration shoot at an old Brooklyn theater
I love how this inspiration shoot combines the traditional with the ultra eclectic, which seems to really reflect what’s happening in offbeat weddings right now. We’re all about embracing traditions we feel resonate and tossing out what doesn’t. The best part of this shoot for me was the venue: a dusty old theater in Red Hook, Brooklyn, called the Jalopy Theater. Think tons of funky instruments, dark and shadowy corners, and a wedding vibes that totally matches.
