The Offbeat Bride: Brandi, Admin Assistant/Soon to be full-time nursing student (and OBT member)

Her offbeat partner: Seena, Architect/Awesome Humanoid

Location & date of wedding: Izone – mentor/adopted family's home on Mt. Washington, Los Angeles, CA — 10/11/2008

What made our wedding offbeat: What made our wedding offbeat was it truly reflected us and the life we have at this very moment in time. We stripped it down to what we could accomplish without feeling wrung out, which meant that many of the grandiose DIY projects (I'm not a DIY girl, not quite sure what I was thinking) got trimmed or cut entirely. My husband, the creative one, taught me what it is to edit. What we were left with when the editing was finished was perfect in it's imperfections, it felt like us.

Her Offbeat Partner: Pony, manager of adult store

Location & date of wedding: Forest Lawn Cemetery/Rec Center Studio, Los Angeles, CA — 11/01/09

What made our wedding offbeat: Firstly, we planned the whole thing ourselves. We utilized our amazing group of talented friends for photography, DJing skills, coordinating abilities, and helping hands to help us hang lights and set up tables the morning of. Our tribe pulled through for us and made it spectacular, and we couldn't be more grateful.

Her Offbeat Partner: Adrian, Construction Worker

Location & date of wedding: Los Angeles and Long Beach, Ca — November 28, 2009

I'm seeing more and more folks doing Save The Date videos instead of cards — but this one from Jeff & Erin pretty much takes the cake. There's an eye patch! There's an evil kitty! There are Vietnamese subtitles! In a time … when height meant everything …

The video's currently got about 4000 views … let's see how long it takes before this one goes viral. :)

UPDATE: After we posted it here on Offbeat Bride, as we predicted the video went completely viral and showed up EVERYWHERE online and even international TV. For some reason (possibly related?) the youtube video is now private. You can still find it here, though.
