Known for his rock 'n' roll work, Jeremy Harris is New York-based wedding photographer who's been featured in magazines such as Rolling Stone, SPIN, and the UK mag Kerrang.

jeremy-harrisSo wait, why does a guy who photographs rock stars for Rolling Stone want to shoot your wedding? "Unlike the editorial and ad shoots which only satisfy the art director for a moment," Jeremy told me, "The weddings I shoot make people happy for a lifetime … I enjoy creating something that will be truly cherished!"

The advantage of working with a photographer accustomed to shooting musicians for magazines is that you get an editorial and photojournalistic style … and BONUS: you get treated like a rock star.

Oh and don't let the fact that Jeremy's based in New York fool you! He works frequently in the Bay Area and Los Angeles and, he says with a wicked little smile, "…I have a valid passport."

The final post for Offbeat Bride's "Elephun Elephant Day" is some adorable wedding porn taken by Megan, the offbeat intern…

I was on location in the Pacific Palisades taking photos of a fellow Offbeat Bride's wedding when we all heard this great commotion — yelling, cheering, tambourines, etc. — and when I checked it out I realized it was wedding parade for an Indian wedding!

After getting over the initial happy spurt of seeing this wonderful procession, I then noticed the huge elephant lumbering up the hill being ridden by an adorably freaked-out groom holding on for dear life!

Wedding cuteness overload I tell you.

Check out the slideshow below for more photos of a cute groom riding a cute elephant and I hope you enjoyed this first ever "Elephun Elephant Week."

The Offbeat Bride: Crystal, Graphic Designer

Her Offbeat Partner: Andy, Art Director

Location & Date of wedding: Private residence in Palm Springs, CA — Sept. 17, 2008

What made our wedding offbeat: We didn't set out to have a theme wedding but, by combining all the things we loved, that's what happened!

We were looking to have a ceremony that was stress free and in a location that we could get excited about. Keeping it simple meant having the ceremony without guests let us have a day that was very personal and relaxed.

IMG_6941 copySome of you may remember this cross-gendered wedding party I featured in March. Well, the wedding was shot by Amanda Brooks in Los Angeles, and it's time you know a little bit more about her and saw more of her insanely stylish wedding photography.

Amanda specializes in retro and theme weddings, and brings a lot of journalist flair to her work.

See, she's spent the last two years as the backstage photographer with Burlesque scenesters Tease-O-Rama, and so clearly she understands on a core level how to beautiful capture curvy, gorgeous women who are going for that classic, mid-century style.

You've just got to see more of these photos…
