Mary and Emily had been together for ten years waiting for gay marriage to be legalized. Three days after the ban was overturned, Mary called Emily’s mom to ask for her hand in marriage. Her mom’s response was, “Well, it’s about time.” Our favorite part was how they danced into the ceremony that ended with their guests forming a half circle around them. They then shared a dance before the ceremony started and another dance after.

Stacie and Crystal were married in Oklahoma, but had their public rockabilly wedding ceremony and reception at a friend’s home in Wichita Falls, TX. After meeting fatefully at a nightclub in D.C., Tamara proposed to Leriche every single day. Tamara had to became a Love Exile in South Africa to allow Leriche to join her as a legal immigrant since the U.S. didn’t allow LGBT sponsorship for partners. They were legally married in South Africa, but their dream of having a ceremony at home finally came true when Virginia passed legislation to legalize same-sex marriage. Come see their joyful story.

Elizabeth and Colleen’s glam meets rustic wedding at the Holliston Historical Society in Massachusetts was a testament to amazing DIY projects and the super chic dress + white suit combination. Elizabeth created all the decor from scratch, all the way from the centerpieces to custom designing Colleen’s suit. She made the table numbers from a broken fence in her backyard and hand-picked the flowers for the bouquets.
