The offbeat bride: Kim – production designer, illustrator and shadow caster (and OBT member "Kim")
Her offbeat partner: Alex – filmmaker and shadow caster
Location & date of wedding: Bloor Cinema (ceremony) – Gladstone Hotel (reception) in Toronto, ON Canada — Saturday, October 31, 2009
What made our wedding offbeat: Our wedding was a huge smorgasbord of all the little things that we held dear as a couple: our love for zombies, Tim Burton, movies, toys, shadow casting, poutine and of course, Halloween. All of these were incorporated into many wedding details from the decoration, to the favours, to our outfits and even the ceremony itself.

Her offbeat partner: Daryl Child Care Worker
Location & date of wedding: Foxglove Spires Garden, Tilba Tilba N.S.W Australia — October 31st 2009
What made our wedding offbeat: My husband and I were married on Halloween this year, much to everyones surprise I wore white (everyone was expecting me to wear black so I guess that's offbeat for me in itself). There were Converse chucks, a lolly buffet, Polaroid guest book and transformers cuff links; little touches that although have been used many times before, really reflected the personality and feel of our bridal party.

In honor of Thanksgiving in America, we bring you a Canadian Thanksgiving wedding. Hey, it's the thought that counts.
The Offbeat Bride: Sophie, call center agent (and OBT member "Squirrel")

Location & date of wedding: Old Montreal, QC, Canada — October 10th 2009 (Canadian Thanksgiving)
What made our wedding offbeat: At first, we were planning a wedding with guests, but we quickly realized that we couldn't agree on anything. Derik wanted something traditional and to invite everyone he had ever talked to, while I wanted a 40-50 guest potluck in a community center.

In keeping with the season, it's time for our weekly Offbeat Halloween wedding!

The Offbeat Bride: Shel, Coordinator
Her Offbeat Partner: Mike, Fire Arms Instructor
Location & date of wedding: Holiday Inn Select, Trevose, PA — October 31, 2008
What made our wedding offbeat: We tried to make the day about the two of us, our love, and Halloween all at the same time.
We got married in a hotel, had pumpkin place cards, black and white everything. We had a life size motion activated skeleton bride and groom. We were introduced to the song, "Crazy Bitch." We had a shoe cake cutter and skelton bride and groom cake topper and I wore neon blue high heels.
