Red crinoline wedding dressI guess I'm on a colored crinoline & wedding hat kick this week.

(HA! I said KICK! And look at the picture here … where they appear to be kicking! Totally unintentional stupid pun, I swear.)

Painful puns aside … speaking of kicks, how cute are the bride and groom's shoes?

You should probably just click right over to Mrs. Lippy's fabulous photos of her UK wedding.

Blue wedding dress + red crinoline = oh my!

Thanks to offbeat reader Danielle for emailing me about these amazing photos from the schoolhouse wedding of Lulu Bliss.

The bride made her 1950s-style tea-length dress by hand (she reports it took about 100 hours) and if you look carefully, you'll see red crinoline peeking out the bottom. (Colored crinoline FTW!) We all know I'm partial to wedding hats, and this whimsical one is no exception.

To see more from Lulu's wedding (the happy couple on bikes! a wedding dog! walking down the aisle together!), head on over to Lulu's picture-heavy blog post.

I am absolutely in love with this head-to-toe striped ensemble. A little goth, a little vaudeville, a little circus — all stunning.

…Perhaps I'm a teeny bit biased — I own a version of the custom bustle jacket by Kambriel that the bride is wearing.

But it's not just about the jacket — look at that hat! The little adorable top hat! I know this is my second top hat in a week, but I love them! Looks like this one was made by Topsy Turvy Design.

Lots more pictures from this fabulously goth Ohio wedding on acid_poptart's livejournal.

The CoupleThe offbeat bride: Chelsie, Wildlife Biologist

Her offbeat partner: Francesco, Aerospace Engineer

Location & date of wedding: Dancing Horse Ranch in Paso Robles, Ca.

What made our wedding offbeat: Our wedding theme was Steampunk (with a subtheme of Make New Friends!), our friend Kat officiated our wedding and we wrote our own ceremony. Also all of our "vendors" were friends! My make-up artist, the photographers, the DJ, the caterers — we all knew them and it seemed like there were no strangers at our wedding. It was wonderful to see everyone bringing their skills together to help out and contribute. Our wedding was much more about having fun than having rituals. I think that everyone there had a great time!

OBT members George and Sebastian did it up right in Sydney this last weekend, getting married in the courtyard of the pub where Sebastian proposed.

The groom was in "the bastard child of a frock-coat" and as you can see, the bride was decked out in a flame-licked bright red dress she made herself, and adorable little cocktail hat.

Oh and of course they cut the cake with a machete. Hiiiyah!

I'll probably have more on this wedding later, but for now you can peruse George & Sebastian's flickrstream, and OBT members can check out George's blog post.

PS: This isn't the first flame-themed wedding dress on Offbeat Bride!
