Our offbeat wedding at a glance: I got married about 10 months after my sister-in-law, who is awesome and did a fantastic job on her offbeat wedding. But I saw how much stress weddings can cause, so we planned our wedding with the goal of being as stress-free and personality-rich as possible. I had a feeling in mind for the event, but we actively edited things out along the way or decided to do things differently if they looked to be too much stress/work. It was a lot of work anyway, but I still had some emotional energy left, and I could feel proud of what we had created.

Seattle's Urban Light Studios was the setting of this colorful and subtly bee-themed wedding in Seattle. With lovely moss-covered foliage and chic decor, this event had tons of class and lots of eclectic touches… plus a stuffed lion. And since it was held in April, it makes the perfect addition to our spring theme week.

Having a bad day? This wedding just might be the pick-me-up you need. With joyous dancing, lawn games, dinosaur puppets, choir singers, and a lots of choreographed dancing, I challenge you to keep a grin off of your face. Go on, try it. I dares ya!

Bex and Cort planned a fab outdoor ceremony complete with lots of traditional and alternative takes on Jewish traditions, and were both fashion plates on top of it. Lots of laughter (including dad's "presentation" speech and mad emcee skills) and lots of personalization made this day all theirs.

DIYing some details is one thing, but this couple self-catered, had all DIY decor, and the bride made and embroidered her own gown. Plus, the groom actually composed and recorded the ceremony music himself! Add in their multicolored theme with the goal of an informal food and games afternoon, and you're in for a treat.

A little bit of vintage style, a whiskey box ceremony, a Princess Bride homage, and a lot of DIY make for an eclectic and heartfelt outdoor celebration. Plus they had an after party at a favorite bar for major dancing and carrying on. The matching <3 tattoos just seal the awesomeness.

These two know the value of a little leg work in getting a deal for a budget wedding. And when you're trying to keep family, friends, and especially vegetarians fed and happy, it's no mean feat. But thankfully, they found a restaurant willing to make a deal and crafted a small wedding with emphasis on being together and sharing in the day. It's just one of those awesome weddings we are loving for simple weddings week.

These are a few of this couple's favorite things: horror movies, art deco decor, vintage fashion, their puppies, raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens… oh wait, scratch the last two. But take the rest of them and smoosh them together for a rad rooftop shindig with lots of DIY. They also dressed their gender-blind wedding party in retro gear making for some killer photos. And don't get too jealous that they had a second reception in Hawaii!
