It's been a while since I did my first card box roundup, so I thought I'd inundate you with all the latest and greatest ideas in card boxes. In this installment you'll kitties, elephants, and amps galore! Who knows where my love of midway illuminated lettering comes from, but it's definitely fed by my addiction to Disneyland. More specifically, the part of the park called "Main Street, USA," which consists of gift shops and ice cream parlors dressed up to look like an early 20th Century bustling downtown street on speed. Too shiny not to love. But I digress… Typically an illuminated letter like this is made of metal, is very heavy and would cost you a pretty penny. I knew I wanted something to light up at my wedding, so I figured I'd make my own midway letters. You can too! And there are power tools involved! Guys, I'm not the least bit embarrassed about how much I really love writing about Little Things Favors. You can get practically ANYTHING you want for your wedding over there. Allow me to show you a few of my favorites little things (see what I did there?)… Kyra and Mitchell had a Tim Burton-themed Halloween wedding in North Reddington Beach, Florida. And while you may have seen amazing Tim Burton-themed weddings before, you've NEVER seen anything like Kyra and Mitchell's spooky, Burton-y, Halloween table decor. WARNING: their centerpiece, while beautiful, just might give you seven years of bad luck and/or cut you. Jodie and Mark came up with a eerily wonderful way to decorate your Halloween wedding. Mark created custom horror movie posters that included photos of themselves, their wedding party and friends. Grab your popcorn and peep the latest previews of "it came from the Offbeat Bride Flickr pool!" Oh, I love Halloween week on Offbeat Bride. I love the over-the-top fashions, I love the costumed wedding guests, I love the spooky decor and the crazy candy displays and I LOVE the fact that we've been hoarding all this goodness all year, just waiting to share it all with you this week! Speaking of hoarding things all year, I thought I'd share some of Think Geek's fantastical Halloween stuff that would be AWESOME additions to your Halloween weddings. So, if you're planning a Halloween wedding for next year, you should jump on this stuff while it's available now… There are other yarn flower tutorials out there, but my method requires the LEAST amount of materials, and once you're done there are SO many ways to use these poofballs as decor! |
