Will and Emily’s wedding combined traditional Jewish elements with fun, personalized nods to the couple. Emily made the escort cards herself (paper flowers!) and other fun touches included a candy buffet with their favorite treats and the cake topper (wedding versions of their favorite Mario Kart characters!).

Our wedding was held at a gorgeous hall that is owned by a Franciscan monastery, which has little details that make it look like a medieval church (in the middle of Washington D.C.!). My husband collects swords, so our cocktail hour featured friends from the HEMA Alliance (the society for Historical European Martial Arts) performing a demonstration of sword fighting through the ages.

Ryan is the drummer of the Grammy nominated band, SOJA, so they had “all access passes” made as a nod to their love for music.

A metalhead boat cruise wedding with headbanging and battle-axes

My wife and I originally met through our university's Metal Club, so it was only natural that we have a metal-themed wedding to celebrate the style of music that brought us together. The venue was the bottom floor of a yacht that does lunch/dinner cruises, which we chose to both reflect our desire to have both a classy affair and a mark our viking voyage in life as wife and wife.

An intimate wedding at a distillery in DC (with two dresses we covet!)

Linda and Jenny had a warm and intimate wedding at Cotton and Reed Distillery at Union Market in DC. It was held in a rad looking tasting room which they had transformed into a warm and romantic setting for their ceremony. This is one tearful wedding we can’t stop ogling…
