After seeing Janna’s motorcycle sprocket bouquet (and, for some of us, learning what a sprocket is), we knew that we had to know all about this wedding and the creative, motorcylcle-loving (and, as it turns out, ex-wrestler and theater geek) couple behind it. A crafty potluck wedding
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow, Part 1 comes out today and since I can’t see the movie until my parent’s come into town in a few days, my Harry needs MUST be filled. And filled they are with Jen and Mike’s Harry Potter themed wedding! There’s Honeyduke’s sweetshop, The Three Broomstick Bar, and tables named after Potter places like The Leaky Cauldron and The Hog’s Head.

When I saw this wedding in the OBB Flickr Pool, I was like “OMG! I must know everything about this amazing red haired, punk rock, mohawk wedding! EVERYTHING!” And it was WAY awesomer than I thought — there is a body modification ceremony, co-mohawks, the Looney Tunes theme song, and a DIY cake. By having their wedding at a cool breakfast restaurant, Kristen and Tracy not only found a beautiful, affordable venue but also a theme: Eggs! Here is their “Eggciting, Eggstra special, Eggstravaganza” complete with dashing butch-bride tux, Egg bouquets, tear-jerking equality speech from Mom, Bride Bingo for the kids and the most awesomest wedding party t-shirts evar.

Gina & Frank showed their life long commitment to each other by getting ring tattoos during their ceremony! This fit in perfectly with their tattoo-filled, circus side-show themed wedding.

We married on September 11, 2010. We’d just met when the 9/11 tragedy occurred. After the initial shock subsided, we made a big feast for the people who lived in our building. That was the first loving thing we did as a couple, so we consider it our anniversary. It made sense to marry on that day (albeit having to explain the story a million times).
