Geeky undies for a sexy wedding night surprise
We’ve already covered wedding night nookie and keeping it special. But perhaps some of you would rather keep it hilarious and surprising? Starkers! Corsetry’s Offbeat Bride-inspired gowns
There’s a first for everything, and this marks the first time in five years that I’ve ever posted photos from a wedding gown fashion show. Runway shots just aren’t really my thing — I usually prefer seeing real people in real dresses, rather than gawking at designer stuff somebody might wear.
Leave it to Dianna DiNoble from Starkers! Corsetry[vendor-heart link="http://vendors.offbeatwed.com/listing/dianna-dinoble-starkers-corsetry"] to make me change my mind. This show, part of Fashion Art Toronto‘s Fashion Week pretty much blew me away. While Offbeat Bride isn’t affiliated with any of these gowns in any way, Dianna told me that the line was very much inspired by the tastes of Offbeat Brides.

Corsets, sword canes, cat cupcake toppers, and a stylin’ gender-neutral party of “wing people.” That’s the fun in store with this celebration of throwing caution and gender to the wind. Plus, there’s a heaping helping of gothic Victorian fashion.
Gothic punk at a seaside wedding with whales and wine
The backdrop to this gothic punk wedding is certainly not the norm. Picture a craggy sea, 1000-foot drop, and whales hitting the surface. The combination of the elegant corsetry, skull details, and seaside winery setting had me at “hello.”

A wedding in an authentic nightclub dating back to Prohibition is the PERFECT place for a speakeasy-themed party featuring peacock details, a little burlesque, live music, and a to-die-for corseted gown. Check out this vintage-style wedding, but beware the ill-fated salt ceremony!
