You might recall these amazing green wedding shoes that made Ariel wet her pants. Well here's the scoop on the rest of OBT member LucyLu's wedding.

The Offbeat Bride: Lucy, client services

Her Offbeat Partner: Travis, engineer

Location & date of wedding: Milwaukie Community Club Center, Milwaukie, OR — March 7th, 2009

What made our wedding offbeat: From the start, we knew we wanted the wedding to be uniquely ours and not cost a gazillion dollars. Although we ended up going over our budget, the cost was still way less than the norm since most everything was vintage, crafted, or Etsy (aka. "crack central"). I was torn between an elegant or fun vibe, so did my best to do both.

The Offbeat Bride: Rhiannon, Office Assistant and writer of unpublished fiction

Her Offbeat Partner: Erick, Apple Creative and Graphic Designer

Location & date of wedding: Historical Santa Monica Pier Carousel, Santa Monica, CA — 4/18/09

What made our wedding offbeat: The goal of our wedding was to have as much fun as possible. We didn't have a huge budget to blow on fancy dinners or decor and that didn't really suit us anyway so we decided to just have the most extravagant kids party possible.

How can you resist these green heels with the hearts on the bottoms from OBT member LucyLu's full-color March wedding in Oregon?
I heart these shoes!
These heels are called "Wicked" by Luichiny. The hearts on the soles make me wet my pants a little. I declare these my favorite shoes of the 2009 season.

But the pee-inducing shoes were just the tip of the iceberg on style from this wedding … the photos from Jessica Watson Photography are like sticking a designer lollipop in your eye-ball. So much color and sweetness and style!

Now, if those aren't quite your style of green wedding shoes … check these out:

Remember when Ariel's mind got bended? Well here's the deal behind all that colory stripy goodness.

The Offbeat Bride: Abi, Accounts Manager and DJ

Her Offbeat Partner: Travis, Copywriter and DJ

Location & date of wedding: Mount Park, KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, South Africa — 11 April 2009

What made our wedding offbeat: We were married in a meadow, under a 100 year old oak tree, by a tattooed freak! The Pagan handfasting ceremony was blessed by a white Sangoma (witchdoctor) and we included a yichud walk from the Jewish tradition.

I wore my ultimate party frock in purple, red and pink, with polka dot shoes and a bright pink parasol. He wore a tailored suit made out of shweshwe fabric, indigenous to South Africa and typically used in dresses worn by African women in the field.

The Offbeat Bride: Cat Rocketship, painter

Her Offbeat Partner: Scott Kubie, media consultant, man-child

Location & date of wedding: Tallest skyscraper in the state, Des Moines, IA — 4/18/09

What made our wedding offbeat: As an artist with a bunch of artist friends, we made everything that we could. The wedding posse made hairpieces, signs, bouquets, corsages, center pieces, favors, jewelry, invites and cakes, and decorated the ceremony and reception sites. We didn't have colors, just a loose theme of, "bright colors, round things, industrial and vintage."
