Haley & Joe are totally Burners, and since half my friends are at Burning Man this week, I figured it was the perfect time to feature this fabulously PORANGE wedding!

SexyThe offbeat bride: Haley, Nanny

Her offbeat partner: Joe, Engineer

Location & date of wedding: Joaquin Miller Park Cascade, Oakland, CA. June 29, 2008

What made our wedding offbeat: My favorite color is pink, he likes orange. I like cats, he likes rabbits. So instead of having a wedding where I picked everything and he said, “Yes Dear” this wedding was all about our “Us-ness”. Pink and orange make Porange, and Porange suits us.

Sandy, the bride, made her bouquet out of christmas tree ornaments, and her bridesmaid’s bouquets out of paper. (Unrelated: check out Sandy’s shoes! And her purple crinoline! *swoon* I’m dying over here!)

Sandy also made the centerpieces out of paper:

Check out all the photos here, and rest assured that I’m already stalking Sandy and will hopefully have a full profile soon. You all know how much I love a colorful wedding

Update: here’s the full profile!

In the carThink a Dia de los Muertos theme would sort of dark and gothic because it’s all about death? THINK AGAIN! I’m totally in love with Julie Cupcake’s psychedelically colorful Dia de los Muertos-themed wedding reception.

The table-settings are so happy they’re almost rainbow-bright. Julie’s floral dress with the cheetah shrug makes me want to go dancing. The five-tier wedding cake has zebra stripes, a singing Elvis, and skulls. Oh, and Julie’s hair is pretty much to die for.

This is NOT a wedding for the modern minimalists, but if you love kitschy retro fabulousness, you must check out the full set.

(Thanks to Julie Cupcake for the photo!)

Helen and Tim Ward

Remember the Wards and their colorful wedding? Well, here’s the full scoop!

The offbeat bride: Helen Ward, Graphic Designer

My offbeat groom: Tim Ward, Graphic Designer

Location & date of wedding: The Paintworks gallery space, Bristol, UK

What made our wedding offbeat: The first thing I knew was that I WAS NOT going to be wearing a white dress and that I WAS going to be wearing red shoes!! Everything else went from there really.

Mr and Mrs WardNow these are my kind of wedding colors. The chartreuse wedding dress! The red shoes! The purple shirt and tie!

I would be remiss if I didn’t include the coordinated wedding cake and father of the bride’s tie.

And don’t forget about the mum of the groom’s fabulous hat! Oh, and I love the paper decorations and lovely placesettings.

Tim and Helen had a stunning wedding. If you need some non-budget inspiration — wow, check them out. I think I have a crush on them.

UPDATE: Lots of DIY details over here!

(Thanks to Ward-a-mercy for the photo!)
