After seeing this wedding, there is no way we all won't be in the mood for Mexican food and a full-on fiesta — which is exactly what this wedding entails. Papel picado, an awesome Mexican restaurant, and tons of DIYed decor worthy of the event make this colorful shindig a stunner. Add in the gorgeous vintage-style chapel and sweet mother/daughter impromptu dance, and you'll be in love with this love.
This is Offbeat Bride's archive of colorful posts.
We previewed this couple's AMAZING neon bicycle part centerpieces before, but little did we know that we'd also get to see an acrobatic silks performance, an amazingly visual contrast with the venue (that we love!), and even more photos of the centerpiece works of art! Come look and see the neon splendor!
We know that our brides run the gamut on how much they want to be involved in the wedding planning. This bride took it one step further and let her mom plan 99% of it! And their personalities totally shined through in their gamer geek music choices, colorful monster details (including Frankenstein shoes!), and choices in board games for the reception.
Are you thinking, "What is this incredibly awesome thing?" You are looking at a handmade wedding centerpiece from Kelley and Mitch's wedding that was uploaded to our Flickr pool. In fact, all of Kelley and Mitch's wedding centerpieces where hand-made by them… out of bicycle parts.
It's always a major treat when we see a wedding from across the globe (in this case, Malaysia!) and recognize our shared loves: colorful dresses, photo booth props, hanging photos, bow ties, cutie cake toppers, and faaaaabulous shoes! Izmira's dress is like a pastel cupcake with a yellow bow, and Nizam completely matches in his yellow suspenders and bright blue pants.
They had brains in their head. They had feet in their shoes. They could steer themselves in any direction they choose. They weren't on their own, and they knew what they know. And they are the guys who'll decide where to go. A love monkey came by, a shoe had inspired, and guests were surprised by all that transpired. Cake balls were eaten, an orange suit was worn, and a love that lasts forever was born.
Circle card stock bunting: the good news is it's fast, super-cheap, and super-easy! It's so easy that I got other people to help make them too. And here's how you can easily make your own…
Are you up for an elegant industrial goth fix? Today is your day. Ashley and Paddy ooze delicious and colorful gothic energy in their 'til death do us part-themed wedding in Newfoundland. We got to see how these style mavens put it all together: think bright dreads + mohawk, black Utilikilts, combat boots, and even some little peacock feather accents, all layered on a purple and blue backdrop.
Never have I seen so much colorful Muppet hilarity in one wedding. (And we've seen some Muppets!). A Muppet cake (with awesome sheet cake alternative), Muppet felt bouquets, doppelganger hand puppets, and an ANIMAL BAND(!!) make Cristina and Trevor's wedding a total nostalgia-fest. There were even felt Muppet eyes and props for the photo booth. Feast your eyes and get smacked in the face with color!
