Everyone, let's us all fucking bow down Eden (pictured above) who found one of the coolest accessories for a winter wedding that I've ever seen — the wool pom pom hat with dotted black lace veil by Agneta Persson. As Eden put it, "Is it not the most tongue-in-cheek winter accessory you have ever laid eyes on or what?"
It came from a store in Manhattan called Off Broadway, but the rest of us non-New Yorkers are in luck because they're available online!
Winter brides, you are welcome.

You want it — you got it! All the great details and even greater wedding porn from Oonagh and Dylan's Toronto wedding! And, inspired by this wedding, this whole week we'll be featuring amazing Toronto weddings in so many different shapes and sizes and colors.
The offbeat bride: Oonagh, Documentary Theatre Artist and Personal Trainer (and OBT member "OonaghDuncan"
Her offbeat partner: Dylan, Engineering Technologist
Location & date of wedding: Gladstone Hotel in Toronto — 12 September 2009
What made our wedding offbeat: Dylan and I walked down the aisle together (me in a $199 gold tutu) towards my Dad (a judge) who was marrying us. We wrote our own vows that had ended with me launching myself on Dylan with emotion before we were officially instructed to kiss.
All the flowers were "ditch flowers" from the roads near my Mum's farm, except for my bouquet, which she had created from paper printed with Harlequin romance novel cover art.

The Offbeat Bride: Ilze, Social Worker (and OBT member "ilize")
Her Offbeat Partner: Tycho, Computer Nerd
Location & date of wedding: Ceremony at the city counsel and reception in a Pub in Vlaardingen and party at a campingfarm in Geldrop, Netherlands — 22th of August 2009
What made our wedding offbeat: We always wanted a wedding party at a camping farm, where every guest could stay overnight in big bedrooms and tents. So that was the first thing we've planned. The ceremony was normal, except for the part where Tycho got the black rings out of his pocket.

What made our wedding offbeat: My first thought when I was proposed to was that I did NOT want to have just another white wedding. Yawn! I've been to those before, and I didn't want my guests to have to sit through yet another one. Then I stumbled across the wonderful Offbeat Bride website. It had never occured to me before that a wedding could be so creative and personal!

To celebrate the season, we're featuring a Halloween wedding every week for the month of October!
The Offbeat Bride: Misty, CNA
Her Offbeat Partner: Dell, Repo Man
Location & date of wedding: Meditation Garden at the A.R.E. in Virginia Beach, VA — October 31, 2008
What made our wedding offbeat: We definitely bucked tradition by having a handfasting in the ceremony, having wine in a dragon goblet (the last of which was offered to Mother Earth) and invoking the Lord and Lady to bless our union! Add to that a multi-faith Reverend who is a female, and the Witchy-Gothy wedding was complete!

The Offbeat Bride: Tanya, bookseller/crafty lady
Her Offbeat Partner: Mark, administrator
Location & date of wedding: Parents backyard in Northampton, PA — 6/6/09
What made our wedding offbeat: We wanted to keep our wedding fun, whimsical, and more like an outdoor party. I made everything I thought I could, allowing me to show of my crafty side. I did the invitations, most of the decorations (except the paper lanterns), the centerpieces, and all of the flowers. All of the tables were covered in the vintage table clothes I had been collecting while planning the wedding.

I am a huge John Waters fan, hence the slight pink flamingo obsession. We had plastic pink flamingos in the yard and at our gazebo "altar."

The Offbeat Bride: Hazel, Chef
Her Offbeat Partner: Ash, Specialist Sports Sales Supervisor
Location and date of wedding: Cambridge Register Office, Pub Crawl Wedding Breakfast and Whittlesford Memorial Hall, UK — 8/11/08
What made our wedding offbeat: We tried really hard to make the day fun and totally relaxed while still being totally fabulous.
I really wanted a non-white dress, no bridesmaids, speeches or wedding cake. And I everyone to wear black, white and red. We hired the best ska band in the entire of Cambridge and managed to fit in a pub crawl as well.
