This pair of rockabillies wanted to go all-out with retro style: record place settings, cake centerpieces with tattoo designs, pin-up and greaser stations (for timely coifs!), and a killer band. You have to see what the groom did at the reception to surprise the bride. Let’s just say it involves Elvis. Oh, and I think the groom’s “cake” will appeal to some of you.

These two had some interesting dilemmas: managing expectations from a very Catholic family and a not-so-Catholic family, balancing the needs of disabilities and the recovery community, and having a super low budget. This week we’re letting our hair down and getting back to nature in the wild, wild outdoors! Today we’ve got a barefoot couple in the forests of Piccadilly with rainbows, a teepee, and one very fun Kombi. They managed to make it all happen while compromising with a religious family, coaxing a van into carrying a clown car-load, and dealing with a very naughty bird at the ceremony.

Trying to remember your wedding day is a great idea, but trying to relive it like in Groundhog Day — now that’s an epic goal. That, plus lots more movie references abounded (including a Harold and Kumar reading!) And wait until you see what activity was planned for post-ceremony fun. This couple’s love of Doctor Who is written all over their wedding: cardboard Daleks and Cybermen, British music, centerpieces with various Doctors, and even a full-size Tardis, perfect for hilarious photo opportunities. They also had an impromptu thumb war during the ceremony. Plus, we can all learn from the bride’s totally chill solution to forgetting her guest book.
