What made our wedding offbeat: We didn't do anything for the sake of tradition. We left out all things that we didn't care about, kept the ones that were meaningful to us, and wherever possible, gave things a personal touch. We also asked the help of many skilled friends instead of hiring vendors. This not only saved costs, but also contributed to us being surrounded by mostly friends on our special day instead of a lot of strangers.

Ever wonder what's really hiding under that kilt? Well, read more and you might just find out. Because this Monday Montage is dedicated to all of you sexy Scots, Irish, and whoever else can sport a kilt on their wedding day.

After browsing the Offbeat Bride Flickr pool this week, I started obsessing over all of these fabulously ornate and historically influenced wedding costumes. Let me tell you, the details on these outfits are impressive. Now, I share with you a couple of fabulous Renn Faire dresses, some stately steampunk gear, and two fantastic vintage duos.

It's the week before Halloween and you know what that means… it's time for HALLOWEEN WEEK on Offbeat Bride! Whoo hoo! I love to geek out over theme weeks and Halloween week is one of my favorites — spooky decor, costumed guests, epic dresses and lots of candy! Let's kick it off with Emma and Gary's gothic Halloween wedding in a castle in Northern Ireland. -Megs

Tina & Nico got legally married in May, so they were free to get wedding'd their way. So, they had a family-filled wedding at a castle in Belgium. When I say family filled, I mean they literally involved their family as much as possible. Both Tina & Nico's fathers officiated the wedding!

Rhiannon & Graham are both huge fans of Scandinavian Folk Metal. They like it because the lyrics are rooted in history and mythology. They used this as their inspiration while creating their Viking inspired ceremony as well as the overall aesthetic of the wedding.

Last Monday, I showed you a couple who had an owl as a ring bearer. That was just a mini preview of Joanne & Brian's amazing gothic wedding. They blew the budget and totally did it up, with a fantastic gothic reception including disco in the dungeon! -Coco
