A night wedding with an ombré dress and constellation jacket
Michele is a schoolteacher, so a Summer wedding was a must… and she also wanted to have a night wedding, in order to properly showcase the lanterns she’d themed the wedding around. Her husband Rob got in on the theme with a custom jacket, featuring a design based on the night sky at the time of their first date in 2019!
Gothic vibes at this full moon helicopter hangar wedding
The entire aesthetic of our hangar wedding was designed around the black diamond ring (my ‘dream ring’) that Jeff proposed to me with. Before the ceremony we had photographs taken with our children at an abandoned asylum. And we married at a local helicopter hangar under an enormous full moon designed by a local lighting and production company! Guests were asked to dress in black, which complimented the gothic décor and blended people and mood.
This Alice in Wonderland wedding had pics taken only by friends
“We had no official wedding photographer for our Alice In Wonderland wedding — our guests took our pics and used our hashtag #whiterabbitwedding! So, my apologies if the picture quality isn’t professional… I would love to share our special day anyway.”
Check out the cake-matching manicure at this Indian Wells wedding
We held our Indian Wells wedding at the Sands Hotel – it’s so uniquely beautiful, we didn’t need to decorate!
A little commotion for weddings over 40, please!
ATTN: People over 40 get married too! We’ve been featuring the weddings of folks over 40 since the aughts, from first time weddings to second marriages to blended family weddings and even vow renewals. Since we LOVE seeing love at any age, we asked our over-40 readers to share their recent weddings with us and added it to our round-up of weddings over 40!
The vows from this Native American / Irish handfasting wedding will make you cry
We wanted to celebrate both of our families — Irish/Scottish on my side, Kiowa on his — so our ceremony was a handfasting wedding, held on Mark’s family’s allotment land. One of the things that tie both our families and cultures together is a love of horses, so including “wedding horses” felt perfect to us.
