brides in glasses

If you wear glasses every day… there’s no rule that says you can’t wear them on your wedding day too! We’ve even got a post dedicated to just fabulous brides in glasses. Obvs, this love ain’t for brides only — grooms rock ’em too.

This tiny upstate New York wedding had private vows, prayer flags, & so many sentimental moments

This tiny upstate New York wedding had private vows, prayer flags, & so many sentimental moments

Tasha and Priscilla rocked a super sweet, small, and DIYed wedding in upstate New York. They said that they were “kind of winging this whole ‘wedding’ since it’s basically just a party after we elope in the woods in upstate NY.” That’s one of my favorite kinds of parties! Plus there were sentimental moments all over. It’s a doozy…

Can't stop the tears at this colorful non-binary California coast wedding

Can’t stop the tears at this colorful non-binary California coast wedding

Heidi and Molly married in Mendocino, CA at Heritage House Resort as the picturesque backdrop for this beautiful non-binary gay wedding. It was so clearly joyful that I couldn’t stop smiling while looking at it. Heidi dyed her hair a deep blue to match the wedding party outfits and Molly rocked signature cufflinks, a dapper AF suit, and happy tears that’ll get you every time.

It’s guitars & malt shop love at this retro diner-themed wedding

I am a retro pinup and my husband is a phenomenal guitar player. What better way to combine the two passions with a retro diner theme wedding? With tabletop jukeboxes and condiment caddies on every table, an electric guitar as our guestbook, ice cream sundae wedges on my feet, 45s lining the aisle, my bridesmaids carrying albums down the aisle instead of bouquets, guitar pick place cards, and a working jukebox at the front of the ceremony space, and guitar pick flower boutonnieres, our wedding was a combination of retro style and rock 'n' roll.

Old Hollywood glittery glam reigns at this retro theater wedding

We featured Dara and Michael’s vintage-styled drive-in theater engagement photos that were the bee’s knees. This week we are super lucky to be able to feature their whole wedding including even more vintage style, theater flair, and a couple of super cute and customized Funko figures as cake toppers. Don’t miss the movie theater candy favors, Dara’s Gatsby-inspired headpiece (it was like 1950s meets 1920s!), and Old Hollywood glam decor…

Love + intention: a Wiccan park wedding with a breastfeeding baby as the “bouquet”

I’m a witch, my husband is not. He knows now after being with me this long that I care a great deal about ritual, intention, and love. So, we set out to do everything by hand. We braided our own handfasting rope, we decorated our broom together, we brewed mead together, we painted and created our whole twelve (12!) invitations together. During anything we did, we lit a red candle, and we would hush to each other about love. We would declare our intent.

A darkly ecelectic jam session wedding with tux shirts & In-n-Out

A darkly eclectic jam session wedding with tux shirts & In-n-Out

Let’s set the scene: a bride in black, a groom in shorts, a frolic in a cemetery, their cat in a tux, groomsmen in tux t-shirts, festivities at an RV park, music fest-style family jam sessions, grandmas palm reading, skeleton flamingos, catering from In-n-Out(!), and an excess of love. Have I got your attention yet?

Don’t miss the skelly flamingos, mismatched bridesmaids, giant chess set, and epic bonfire late into the night…
